This is my 2024 7DRL entry.  It is loosely based on the C64 version of Sword of Fargoal, though very simplified (7 days isn't very long).  All the graphical and audio assets in the game came from Kenney.  If you haven't checked out is assets, do yourself a favor and go take a look. There are 6 levels to traverse.  At the bottom you'll find the MacGuffin, the fabled sword of Yennek.  You must then ascend from the dungeon to win the game.

CONTROLS:

  • WASD - Move (Bump into enemies to attack)
  • E - Interact
  • H - quaff a healing potion
  • C - Character Screen
  • I - Inventory Screen
  • 1, 2, 3 - Select zoom level for the camera (set at 2 by default) 

-Note:  There is a bug I found that I didn't have time to fix.  Moving into a spot while an enemy is moving into the same spot will cause some issues.  Not all the animations were playing at the same speed and it wreaks some havoc on the hit detection.  So, play nice, and wait for your turn.

A solid, short roguelike! I like the visibility culling. How do we use weapon enchantments? Are they automatic?

they are automatically applied to your stats.  Each gives you a +1 to attack on your character sheet.
